Old Lady slips and falls in City of Love

The Nigerian Gift Orban prepared a present for Juve (true to his name), embodied in a leveller that brought Verona a point - 1-1

A draw four days ago, a draw today. At first glance, it's the same. But from Juventus' perspective, it isn't.

On Tuesday in the Champions League, the Old Lady salvaged a 4-4 draw against Borussia Dortmund thanks to two goals in added time. Today, she slipped and fell in the City of Love, drawing to the Italian minnows, Hellas Verona, and failing to keep the perfect score after four Serie A rounds - 1-1.

The beginning seemed ideal for Igor Tudor's crew, as Francisco Conceicao broke the deadlock 19 minutes into the game after a fantastic solo effort and a precise strike from the edge of the box.

Still, after the opener, the Bianconeri stopped playing, opted for defence, and were punished in the penultimate minute before the break. Joao Mario handballed in the box, and the Nigerian Gift Orban sent the penalty kick home, equalizing the score.

Everyone expected an avalanche of Juve's attack after the break, but the visitors had only one chance in the 51st minute over Dusan Vlahovic. In the end, they could have even lost a point, as Verona's potential winner, scored by Suat Serdar, was ruled out for offside by VAR.

Following the Old Lady's draw, Napoli will have a chance to leapfrog the Turin side and gain a two-point advantage over Juve if they beat Pisa on Monday (21.45).
