Okere who joined Tusker in 2018 alongside his boss Robert Matano said the new opportunity will not only enrich his profile but will give him the platform to acquire new coaching tips.
“I really feel honored and privileged to have been given an opportunity in the national team. It is always a great opportunity to serve the nation and this will also be a chance to gain more experience as a coach which in turn I will definitely bring back to the team,” Okere commented on the club's website.
Tusker FC Chief Executive Officer Charles Obiny while congratulating Okere said, “We are proud of him and his appointment and as a club, this is a huge honour for us. We want to wish him all the best and may he represent us in the best way possible.”
