The veteran goalie only wants to play for Juventus and has also said no to Bayern
In the crazy season of Arab offers, some have said no. Among them is Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. Speaking to reporters in his homeland, he showed that not everyone is driven by greed.
"Offers from Saudi Arabia? I've already earned a lot of money in my life. I've seen many players have gone there, and that doesn't surprise me. However, I believe there are other priorities in life beyond money."
🧵 Szczesny gave an interview for polish media TVP Sport talking about offers from 🇸🇦

🗣️How would you react to a call from Saudi Arabia? I have plenty of money in my life. I prefer fun challenges and defending the Juventus goal is the coolest challenge I can give myself. pic.twitter.com/fUblGqmr3B
But it's not just Saudi Arabia. In recent weeks, Szczesny has been at the centre of some transfer rumours, especially related to Bayern Munich. After Sommer's move to Inter, the Bavarians have shown interest in the Polish international.
"I prefer exciting challenges, and defending Juventus' goal is the most beautiful challenge I can have. I know I am and will be a Juventus player unless they want me to leave. I am attached to this club and I respect their decisions. They want me here to keep Juventus' goal."
The 33-year-old former Arsenal goalie doesn't see him in the game when he turns 40. Time is running out on his professional career - but he doesn't mind.
"I'm trying to enjoy the moment because I don't know how long I'll be able to play at the highest levels. For now, I feel good, but I don't feel ready to play until I'm 40. A new Buffon? No, absolutely not. I think I don't have much time left to continue playing. I'm enjoying the moment, knowing that I'm an important figure in the club. I'll try my best to bring Juve back to the top."
