The wing back has a contract with the club that expires in the summer of 2023.
Kenyan international Clarke Oduor will be a Barnsley player next season should he not make a move after being retained by the club following a wretched season that saw them suffer relegation.
Barnsley dropped to the English Football League (EFL) League One following a forgettable season in the Championship where they finished last on the 24-team log.
Oduor still has a running contract with the club that is set to expire in June 2023 and was retained by Barnsley despite having a tough season.
The 22-year-old only managed 20 games last campaign in the Championship as his season was plagued by injuries thereby missing a huge chunk of the games.
Barnsley Football Club can confirm its retained list, which has been submitted to the EFL following the conclusion of the 21/22 campaign.

Thank you to Aapo Halme, George Miller and Daniel Jinadu for your efforts during your time at Oakwell, and best of luck for the future.
He only managed two assists last season but the return marked his best in terms of goal contributions in his three seasons in the Championship.
Oduor was part of the 23 players aged under 24 as of 30 June 2022 who were retained or have a contract offer pending with Barnsley.
Having been retained by the club, Oduor could still make the move in the summer transfer window should a club be interested in his services.
The left wing-back has one cap under his belt having featured for Harambee Stars in the win over Zambia back in October 2020.
