The coach believes that they can get a positive result against the 19-time league champions.

Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Salim Babu anticipates a good result when his side comes up against Gor Mahia in their opening match of the season, a match the tactician described as difficult.

Nzoia travel to Nairobi to face Gor Mahia on Saturday in a match that both sides will be keen on bagging maximum points from in order to kick start their campaign on a positive note.

Gor have not beaten the Millers in the last two seasons. The Bungoma-based side has picked two wins while the other two games have ended in stalemates and on Saturday the two teams renew their brewing rivalry.

Babu, expects a tough game but believes that his team has what it takes to pick a result against the record league champions.

"Against Gor Mahia you expect a tough game, they are the most successful club in the country, and as such matches against them are never easy... However we have prepared well for the game and the new season in general and I am confident that we can get something out of the game if we stick to our game plan, " he told Mozzart Sport.

The Millers will miss two players in the game. Defender Salim Hamisi is sidelined with an injury while new signing Yasin Sije is out with illness.

"My striker Sije is ill, while Hamisi is sidelined with an injury. The rest of the players are available and I am confident that they will give a good account of themselves. Such matches tend to motivate players and I know we will see a formidable team out there, " he added.
