Beja penned a four-year long deal with the sugarmen

Nzoia Sugar attacking midfielder Hassan Beja has taken upon himself to meet the sky-high demands of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League by training twice a day and sourcing a personal gym instructor.

Beja who is in his debut season in the FKF PL having joined the Bungoma based club before the season began from Division Two side Lugulu FC has not enjoyed sufficient playing as anticipated but at least, he is not resting on his laurels.

The youngster revealed that he elected to go the extra mile by training in the afternoon after the normal club session in the morning as well firming up his biceps in the gym under the watch of Charles Sibweche.

Nzoia captured the highly-rated midfielder who can also play behind the strikers but has faced competition for playing time on the flanks thanks as the technical bench has been preferring to deploy James Kibande and Felicien Okanda on either

"I have been working my way to regular football for quite some time. I do train twice a day and finish the program at the gym where I have been paying an instructor to help me improve on the areas that I have been advised on," he said.

Even though the 19-year old has not been used regularly, he habours the dream of helping Nzoia finish in the top ten bracket. The sugar millers kicked off the season on a sour note but since the appointment of Salim Babu in January, they have shown the hunger to beat the drop.

Before Babu took over, Nzoia had won a league fixture but they now boast of four league wins under their belt and for the first time, they are above the red line.

"The club signed me even when I didn't have the requisite top-flight experience and the best I can do is to fight and ensure that we remain in the league. Personally, I am enjoying playing under Babu who has been getting the best from the players and I feel that he will guide us to the top ten bracket, "he added.
