The Millers are 16th on nine points, having gone five games without a win.

With only a single win to their name this season, Nzoia Sugar interim coach Peter Gin is angling for a win against FC Talanta to ease their relegation woes.

The Millers have struggled this season and are fighting at the wrong end of the table as they currently occupy the Promotion/Relegation spot.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Gin is hoping to utilize home advantage when they take on FC Talanta on Wednesday in Sudi and added that they have to put an extra shift in training to free themselves from the shackles of relegation.

“Talanta are coming to Sudi and we will enjoy home advantage, we have to push ourselves and I know we will get a win if you utilize our chances. We have to push ourselves in training there is no other way we can get ourselves out of the relegation zone and try and get positive results in the remaining games,” said Gin.

After an impressive run of form, Talanta look to be running out of steam having suffered back to back losses against Nairobi City Stars and Gor Mahia but still sit pretty in mid-table.

Nzoia handed a struggling Wazito side their first win of the year over the weekend with Gin noting that they will have to go back to the drawing board to right their wrongs.

“We have to go back to the drawing board after that loss against Wazito and try and rectify where we went wrong but we missed a number of chances,” added Gin.

Nzoia's clash against FC Talanta is slated for a 3 PM kick-off at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.
