Posta Rangers failed to beat Ingwe despite Kipyegon getting his marching orders early in the second half.

Posta Rangers midfielder Joshua Otieno Nyatini feels his team deserved more than a point in the game against AFC Leopards that ended in a barren draw at Ruaraka Grounds on Saturday afternoon.

The Stanley Okumbi-led Mail-men failed to make their one-man advantage in the second half count after AFC Leopards assistant captain Isaac Kipyegon was given his marching orders in the 48th minute. Both teams had chances to break the deadlock but wastefulness saw them share the spoils.

Joshua however feels they deserved more than a point from the match against the title hopefuls. He rued the chances that they threw away especially in the second half.

I feel we deserved much more from the match because we played well and created the best chances of the game. We, however, could not utilize these opportunities and in the end, we had to share the points with Leopards,” he told Mozzart Sport.

On the team’s target for the season, Nyatini said they want to finish in a better position than the 12th that they currently occupy.

The games are coming fast and thick and we have to be ready for them. The goal as a team is to finish in a higher position than we are now, we want to get good results in the coming matches so that we can end the season in a more respectable position,” he added.

Otieno reunited with coach Okumbi in January when he joined the Mail-men from Wazito FC. The midfielder had worked with the tactician both in the Kenya U20 team and at Wazito FC and he says he is happy to work under the tactician once again.

It feels good to reunite with him. He is a coach who believes in me and I enjoy playing for him,” he concluded.

Next for Posta is a home match against Kakamega Homeboyz.
