The Glamour Boys hold a two point lead over Murang'a Seal in the current NSL standings

Having secured promotion to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), Shabana FC will be out to please their loyal fans in their National Super League (NSL) season finale against Kisumu All Stars at Gusii Stadium on Saturday.

Alongside Murang'a Seal, Shabana has booked a slot in Kenya's top flight in the forthcoming 2023-24, but the NSL title is yet to be decided.

Perched at the top of the pile with 70 points - two points better than Seal, Shabana will need to beat Stars, who edged them 1-0 in the first leg, to be sure of the coveted NSL crown.

Other results could also favor Tore Bobe; Seal failing to beat Shabana's arch rivals Gusii United in the other crucial fixture of the day will also do the trick for the coach Sammy Okoth's side.

"We want to finish on a high. The goal is to make our fans happy," Okoth told Mozzart Sport.

It goes without saying that Shabana's Red and White army has been the best, in terms of fan-support, in the entire National Super League this season.

The story of the club's meteoric rise after ages in the trenches can never be complete without a full chapter dedicated to them.

Apart from ensuring that Gusii Stadium is a fortress, the fans made away matches comfortable by following the team the entire width and breadth of the country.

"They deserve to be happy. They have been with us the entire season, pushing and giving us the much needed support. Winning the title is the only way to reward and say thank you to them," Okoth stated.

Yet, there's the worry of complacency creeping in and working against their ambition of bagging the overall title - having attained the main aim of gaining promotion to FKFPL.

"It's a real threat, but we've been trying to ensure a competitive mentality prevails in the entire team until the final whistle," said Okoth.

"I've been drumming it into their heads that they need to win the title for the fans," he added.
