At Awendo Green Stadium, league leaders Migori Youth edged Nairobi City Stars 1-0.

NSL top scorer Syphas Otieno proved decisive with a 10th-minute strike, which ultimately separated the sides.

Despite sustained pressure from City Stars, Migori’s defensive resilience ensured maximum points at home.

The win saw the Mozzart Bet-backed outfit maintain their grip at the top the 20-team standings with 40 points.

For Salim Babu’s City Stars, the defeat brought an end to an impressive 11-match unbeaten run.

The loss is a stumbling block in their bid to return immediately to top-flight football, ad they are 12 points adrift of the automatic promotion spots.

Meanwhile, at Wanguru Stadium in Kirinyaga, MOFA stunned hosts Fortune Sacco with a solitary second-half strike by Laban Otieno, 20 minutes from time.

The win bolstered the Homa Bay-based outfit’s promotion push, keeping them firmly in third place on the log, two points behind Migori Youth.

For Fortune Sacco, the defeat ended a three-match unbeaten run and temporarily dented their promotion ambitions, though they remain fifth with 32 points, six shy of the automatic promotion zone.

Over at Mbaraki Stadium, Mombasa United roared to a 4-0 triumph over Kisumu All Stars.

Fidel Madiela netted a brace, complemented by goals from Jackson Watee Marura and Mayson Andala, as the coastal outfit made a statement on the league summit.

The resounding win saw Mombasa United join Migori Youth on 40 points.

All Stars, conversely, suffered their first defeat of the year, halting a four-match unbeaten streak and complicating their efforts to escape the relegation zone.

At Embu Stadium, host 3K FC marked the post- Chege era with a dominant 5-0 victory over Luanda Villa, ending a four-match unbeaten run and reigniting their push for automatic promotion.

Elsewhere, Nzoia Sugar suffered a shock 2-0 home defeat to Gucha Stars, while Mwatate United and Darajani Gogo played out a thrilling 2-2 draw, highlighting the competitive intensity across the NSL.
