Two goals from Vincent Nyabuto helped Shabana FC move upto a priced third place on the log in the National Super League as the Sammy Okoth coached side picked a crucial 0-2 away win against Silibwet Leones in their second tier league clash staged in Bomet on Sunday afternoon.
Prior to the game, Shabana sat in fifth place on the log and were looking to move into the vantage third position that guarantees a promotion playoff match. On the day though Nyabuto’s heroics helped propel the team to third as head coach Sammy kept his 100% record intact (W4 D2).
Zoo FC 2-1 Muhoroni Youth
In another clash, former top flight side Zoo FC moved closer to the their quest of regaining promotion back to the top flight as they dispatched Muhoroni Youth 2-1 in their backyard at the Kericho Green Stadium.
The Herman Iswekha coached side had started the day in sixth place but goals from Sammy Ggolola and Kepha Ondati ensured the team jumped upto fourth on the log, a point behind Shabana.

Naivas 0-1 Mara Sugar
The biggest losers of the day were Naivas FC who dropped from fourth to sixth on the log after being condemned to a 0-1 home defeat by struggling Mara Sugar in the match played at Camp Toyoyo Grounds.
Fighting the shackles of relegation, Gundo’s strike helped Mara Sugar move from second last on the log to third last, where they now only sit two points away from the safety places.
Mombasa Elite 4-1 Gusii United
Mombasa Elite also moved upto seventh on the log after a thumping 4-1 win against Gusii United at Mbaraki Grounds.
Vihiga United 3-2 Dandora Love
Former top flight side Vihiga United also went back to winning ways as they compounded Dandora Love’s miseries with a 3-2 win.
