The National Super League’s Good Friday fixtures offered fans a breathtaking spectacle, with promotion battles taking centre stage.
League leaders Mombasa United made a bold statement with a commanding win over Vihiga United, while promotion hopefuls 3K FC and Equity FC secured crucial victories, intensifying the race for top-flight football.

At Mombasa Sports Club, host Mombasa United delivered a good performance, overcoming visiting Vihiga United 3-1.
Goals from Jackson Watee, Dennis Mabea, and Menza Lenny in each half ensured a comprehensive win for the Gilbert Selebwa-coached side.
The victory extended Mombasa United’s lead at the summit to 58 points, creating a six-point cushion over second-placed Migori Youth, with just 11 matches remaining.
The result strengthens the coastal side’s title ambitions and positions them firmly for promotion to the Kenyan Premier League.
Vihiga United, on the other hand, the defeat compounded an already difficult season.
The result marked their 14th loss, leaving them second from bottom with 19 points.
With the league drawing to a close and just eleven matches left, concerns about their survival in the second tier are mounting with relegation proving time bomb reality for the Vihiga based side
Meanwhile, at Mashuru Complex, league debutants and promotion contenders Equity FC showcased their attacking prowess, defeating FC Talanta 2-0.
The win, guided by John Kamara Mbezwa, extended Equity’s winning streak to five matches and pushed them past the 50-point mark to 52, placing them joint second with Migori Youth.

The loss continued FC Talanta's three-match winless run, leaving Jackson Gatheru’s side ninth on 37 points and 15 behind third place, a steep hill to climb in the remaining fixtures.
At Gems Cambridge, promotion chasers 3K FC produced a ruthless display, thrashing Nairobi City Stars 3-0.
Goals from Sammy Mejja, Oscar Juma, and Alex Keke secured the Embu-based side maximum points, moving them to 50 points, just two shy of automatic promotion slots and six behind Mombasa United.
For City Stars, the defeat marked a fourth consecutive outing without a win.
The loss is a significant setback for coach Salim Babu’s side in their bid to return to the top flight, leaving them 18 points off the automatic promotion places with the season entering its decisive stages.
At KIHBT Grounds, Ngong, Naivas FC revived their promotion push with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Kibera Black Stars.
David Agesa’s brace secured the victory, propelling Elvis Ayani’s side to 41 points, 11 adrift of the third spot.
The win comes at a crucial juncture as Naivas aim to secure promotion on their third attempt after consecutive near misses.
The defeat however halted Kibera's back-to-back wins leaving them 10 points off the automatic slots, forcing coach Iddi Badi to recalibrate his strategy.
In the relegation battle, Mully Children Family (MCF) claimed their first win of the year, ending an eleven-match drought with a 2-0 triumph over Kisumu All-Stars at Ndalani Complex.
An own goal and Kevin Omondi’s strike sealed the victory, moving MCF to 17 points and reigniting hopes of survival.
For Kisumu All-Stars, the Mozzart Bet backed side missed golden chance to leapfrog further off the relegation mix as the loss saw them drop to 16th with 27 points, precariously hovering just above the drop zone.
In Murung'a, an all-debutants clash saw Kabati Youth halt a five-match losing streak, edging Gucha Stars 1-0 thanks to a first-half strike by Jeff Ayodi.
The win lifts Kabati to 15th place with 27 points, joint with Kisumu All-Stars, bolstering their survival hopes.
The defeat for Gucha however marked a third consecutive loss, leaving them 13th on 32 points and eight above the relegation zone.
Coach Sammy Okoth now faces the task of arresting the slump to safeguard his side’s second-tier status.
