Pumped by their opening game of the season win against Mulembe FC, the Mohammed Hamisi-led team took control of the clash in front of the home fans, and despite struggling for an opening goal in the first stanza, the Kajiado-based team fired two past the Yatta-based club in the second half.

Youngster Brian Lotsire and Ayubu Twaha were once on the score sheet to affirm their team's top-of-the-table status, at least temporarily ahead of the Sunday matches.

Silibwet Leons suffered the first defeat of the season in front of the home fans as Michael Owen and Richdonald Bolo strikes handed the Kibera Black Stars their first points of the NSL 2023–24 campaign.

Elsewhere, Darajani Gogo failed to win their second consecutive match as they shared spoils against the rebranded Mombasa Stars, formerly Coastal Heroes, in a match played at Hope Centre, Nairobi.
