Richarlison, Kane, Son, Moura... That's Conte's formula which left no space for the Dutch winger

It all started some 11 years ago. It was a nerve-wracking relationship between young Steven, 14 at that moment, and his coach in the Ajax youth setups. Finally, one day, the boy decided to pack his bags and leave, serving his former side a severe vengeance on a plate - he joined their archenemies, PSV.

All the rest is history, as they would say, and now the time has come for Steven Bergwijn to turn the clock around and return home.

The winger's two seasons spent with Tottenham Hotspur could be labelled as lousy, as he failed to establish himself as a regular with the Spurs under the management of several bosses (Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo, Antonio Conte).

So now, when the North Londoners brought in Richarlison along with already masterful Kane, Son, Kulusevski and Moura, there is no space left for the 25-year-old.

So his boyhood club, Ajax Amsterdam, joined the race for his signing and, obviously, reached a deal with Tottenham.

As per The Athletic, a medical is taking place today, with the first part completed and the second part ongoing. He is expected to sign a five-year deal worth 30,000,000 euros.

He had interest from several clubs in the United Kingdom but decided he wanted to play every week and Champions League football with Ajax.

The winger expressed his desire to leave the north London side at the beginning of May due to the lack of starting minutes he was getting under Conte.
