Now everything makes sense: Mole leaking team news costs Chelsea UCL exit

Liam Rosenior had another odd (to say the least) statement following the Blues' catastrophic Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain

When Enzo Maresca left Chelsea at the beginning of 2026, the club reacted quickly and brought in the most logical solution - the head coach of its affiliate club Strasbourg, Liam Rosenior, who was familiar with the system in the two teams owned by the BlueCo company and had achieved some exceptional results with the Ligue 1 side.

However, the English tactician still seems to be trying to figure things out at the new club, and the proof for that statement is abundant.

His touchline reactions have been mocked, making him a fertile ground for memes. He's often been seen frantically writing something down in a notebook while his crew looked completely disorganized on the pitch, and the pre-game huddle he introduced has already been ridiculed, especially after the recent "incident" with referee Paul Tierney.

Some would think the Blues' boss was maxed out when it comes to peculiar things, but they would be wrong. There's more...

Namely, following Chelsea's catastrophic Champions League exit in the Round of 16, where Paris Saint-Germain battered them 8-2 on aggregate, Rosenior revealed that his side had dealt with a mole leaking news from the locker room?!

Furthermore, there's even evidence for this claim. According to The Guardian, certain French media outlets published Chelsea's starting lineup before the first leg of the clash with the Saints in Paris, while a week later, it was revealed that Wesley Fofana would be benched and that Jorrel Hato and Trevoh Chalobah would be the starting centre-back pairing.

Now, it's hard to imagine that the outcome of the Blues duel against PSG would have been any different if no one knew about Rosenior's tactical ideas. After all, they lost 8-2, and it wasn't even close.

However, if any Blues’ fans believe in these claims and think they matter, they will be pleased to hear that the mole has been exposed and dealt with.

"We know. And it’s not come from any place of malicious intent to me or the team. We know where it’s come from and we’ve dealt with the situation," Rosenior said via The Guardian, as the same source also stated that the culprit was neither a player nor a staff member.

Therefore, now that this unpleasant situation is resolved, Chelsea will, naturally, steamroll everyone in their path, right? Because if not, the next "mole" the London club could "deal with" could be - Rosenior himself.
