It was a good night for Kenyans plying their trade abroad as they all picked up wins.

Kenyan international Amos Nondi featured for Dila Gori as they picked up a 2-0 win over Torpedo Kutaisi while Anthony Akumu and Brain Mandela missed the matchday squads for Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively.

Amos Nondi

The former Gor Mahia Youth midfielder was trusted with another starting berth as Dila Gori maintained their title ambitions with a 2-0 win over Torpedo Kutaisi in the Georgian National League.

The win takes them to just two points off log leaders and reigning champions Dinamo Batumi as they look to lift their second ever league title since the 2014-2015 season.

Dila had a strong start to the game as it only took 11 minutes for Vagner Goncalves to open the scoring but they had to wait till the 94th minute when Tamaz Makatsaria assured all three points for them with the second goal.

Magnus Breitenmoser

Kenyan midfielder Magnus Breitenmoser lasted the entire 90 minutes as his AC Oulu side whitewashed TP-47 4-0 in the Finnish Cup.

It took long for Oulu to get going as Breitenmoser was booked for a challenge in the 36th minute but Raymond Nogha finally broke the deadlock in the fourth minute of first-half added time.

The second half was a similar affair to the first with Onni Suutari doubling Oulu’s advantage in the 74th minute and he went on to seal his brace in the 83rd minute.

Rafael Floro drilled the final nail in TP-47’s coffin in the 94th minute to ensure Oulu picked up the emphatic win to proceed to the fifth round of the competition.

Anthony Akumu

Kenyan international Anthony Akumu did not make the matchday squad for Kaizer Chiefs as they picked up a 1-0 win over Marumo Gallants in the South African Premier Soccer League.

Keagan Dolly scored the all-important goal in the 77th minute to ensure Chiefs picked up their first win since showing Stewart Baxter the door in late April.

Brian Mandela

The towering Kenyan defender missed the Mamelodi Sundowns squad that registered a 2-0 win over Sekhukhune in the South African Premier Soccer League.

Aubrey Modiba opened the scoring for Sundowns in the 28th minute while Peter Shalulile extended his tally to 22 league goals and is just three goals shy of Collins Mbesuma’s 25-goal a season record.
