No way, Pedro! The Spaniard baggs a stunner for Lazio, but a Congolese player saves Verona with a header

The form is temporary, and class is permanent, they say. And they're more than right, with another proof coming on Monday night from Italy.

In a pulsating 1-1 draw between Hellas Verona and SS Lazio, we saw a demonstration of an imminent class from former Barcelona and Chelsea winger Pedro.

The 35-year-old veteran passed his peak years ago, but he occasionally delivers cutting-edge performances that remind us how good he is. The Spanish winger scored a spectacular opener for his Lazio at Bentegodi Stadium, which deserves applause and a standing ovation.

Ngonge joined Verona from the Dutch side Groningen a few weeks ago, and this was his only second appearance for the new club.
