No kidding with Cholo's crew: Celta concede four at Wanda Metropolitano

Diego Simeone's side climbed back into Champions League spots

That Villarreal home loss and Real Sociedad away draw are filed under 'past affairs' as Atletico Madrid brush aside Celta 4-1 in the ultimate game of Saturday LaLiga menu.

The packed Wanda Metropolitano saw a colourful display of the hosts, who were in front early on after Correa broke the deadlock ten minutes into the game.

While the visitors were struggling to create any goal-scoring chances in front of the Atleti box, De Paul doubled the lead as soon as the sides returned from the half-time break. That second goal killed the game, but we saw three more, two in the back of Celta's net, as Carrasco and Cunha made sure Simeone enjoyed a calmful night in the dugout.

Celta's only goal of the game came through Veiga with some 20 minutes left on the clock, but it was the only thing they could do faced with one of the best Spanish teams of the decade.
