Ivorian forward Evann Guessand joins Aston Villa from a Ligue 1 lot
Ivory Coast has produced some fantastic strikers who've made a strong impact in the Premier League over the years. Didier Drogba, of course, but also Salomon Kalou, Wilfried Bony, Gervinho...
The time has come for another Ivorian gem to make his name in the EPL as Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sign Nice striker Evann Guessand for £26m plus £4.3m in add-ons.

The 24-year-old Ivory Coast forward scored 12 Ligue 1 goals last season and was named Player of the Season as Nice finished fourth.
Guessand, who was also monitored by Crystal Palace, is expected to have a medical at Villa on Wednesday.
The Villans have been seriously looking for a striker after Jhon Duran left them in January, and especially after Marcus Rashford's loan ended without a permanent deal at the end of the previous season.
Guessand debuted for Ivory Coast in June 2024 and has collected nine caps since.
