The Brazilian also questioned his mental heath to stay in the game

He is considered to be one of the best footballers in the world right now, he won two Spanish and three French championships with Barcelona and PSG, along with a Champions League trophy, as well as numerous national Cups with both clubs. He is only 29 years old, and in a peek of his career, and yet....Neymar Jr. thinks that World Cup 2022 in Quatar will be his last, and questions his mental health to stay in the game.

In a documentary broadcast by DAZN, the Brazilian, who will be 30 in February 2022 and has a contract with PSG until 2025 talked about his desire to win something with his national team, but also hinted about his retirement.

I think it's my last World Cup. I see her as my last because I don't know if I have the mental strength to stay in football. So I will do everything to make sure everything goes well at the 2022 World Cup, and everything to win with my country. I want to realize my biggest dream since I was little, and that is to win the World Cup with the Brazil. I hope to achieve it" said the Brazilian.

So far, Neymar only managed to win South American Youth Championship in 2011 (U20), Summer Olympics in 2016 and FIFA Confederations Cup in 2013. His latest attempt to win something with his country was this year’s Copa America, but Brazil lost to Argentina 1-0, and his friend and teammate Lionel Messi won his first ever senior trophy in the national jersey.

Nobody knows the reasons behind Neymar’s statement about mental health. There are others who think that he simply wants to have fun, as he perceived as somebody who likes to party. Even his current teammates witnessed it.

"Neymar is what you see: Joy. He's a living birthday party. Typical Brazilian, an exceptional person. We always mock him with Paredes. We say "Us first, and in 2nd place...." we drive him nuts. Neymar is the most party driven guy I've ever played with. Hands down" revealed Di Maria in an interview after Copa America.

In case he changes his mind, Neymar can play in the next World Cup in 2026, organized by the USA and Mexico. He will be 34 years old then.
