Leopards midfielder says another loan spell at Nzoia will help him gather more top flight experience

AFC Leopards midfielder Dan Musamali is praying that the club will extend his loan to Nzoia Sugar for another season as he seeks to attain more top-flight experience.

Musamali who joined the den last year after finishing his studies at St. Anthony's Boys High School was sent on a season-long loan spell to the sugar millers and despite being his first season in the top flight, he punched above his weight as he was among the top performers at the club.

The versatile player who can be deployed as the defense shield and as a central attacking midfielder has already returned to the den to share his piece of mind with the management and the technical bench.

He says he is eager to enjoy another undisputed season with Nzoia so as to gather the right confidence to muscle for starting roles at Leopards in the future.

"I acknowledge that I am an AFC Leopards player but it is my wish to spend another season at Nzoia. I made my top-flight debut last season and went on to play almost all the matches. I still feel that another season will help me develop fully," he said.

Musamali who signed a four-year-long contract with Leopards revealed that Nzoia head coach Ibrahim Shikanda had hinted of beginning his preseason with him and expressed hope that Ingwe bosses will grant him his wish.

"Before I returned to Nairobi, coach Ibrahim told me I was in his plans. It will be great to start the pre-season preparations with the team," he said.

Meanwhile, Musamali picked Kenyan international and Nzoia defensive midfielder Kevin Juma to thank for holding his hand and sharing with him the secrets of navigating top-flight storms.

"Juma is a top professional who blends well with every player at the club. He helped me settle at the club and is ever pushing me on the pitch. I have been learning alot from him considering that I want to slot back to the defensive midfield in the future," he added.
