The former Kenya Police shot stopper follows Erick Balecho in exiting the club
Murang'a Seal have officially confirmed the exit of goalkeeper Bonphas Munyasa, following what was a fruitful spell at the club.
Munyasa, whose form last season saw him earn his first call-up to the Kenyan national team - Harambee Stars, has been hugely sought-after this season, and is expected to sign for another Premier League club.
Despite rumoured interests from AFC Leopards and an unnamed club in Tanzania, the former Kenya Police man is strongly linked to a move to KCB, where he will battle for a place in between the sticks with starter Farouk Shikalo.
"We bid farewell to our shot-stoppper as he embraks on a new chapter in his football journey," Seal posted on Friday. "We thank Bonnie for his immense contribution to the club and wish him the best in his future endeavors."
"Once a Seal always a Seal," the club added.
Munyasa earned a call-up to the provisional squad for the Four Nations Invitational Tournament in Malawi this year, and was also included in the initial squad summoned for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in June.
Speaking earlier to Mozzart Sport, the 2021 NSL Goalkeeper of the Year admitted his wish to win silverware at club and national team level saying: "I want to win trophies, but it will be more interesting to win with the Harambee Stars; that’s the focus at the moment."
Munyasa's exit now means he is the second Seal player to leave the club this season, following Thursday's departure of Eric Balecho to Tusker FC.
