Budding goalkeeper feels he has come of age to muscle for playing time at Leopards
AFC Leopards and Harambee Stars U20 goalkeeper Maxwell Mulili has expressed his desire to return to the club at the end of the season and fight for his place in the star-studded team.
Mulili who was starved of playing time owing to the competition from first choice Benjamin Ochan, John Oyemba and Ezekiel Owade was loaned out to Zoo FC at the start of the season.
The loan move handed the rookie who joined Leopards in January 2019 the chance to make his top flight debut as well as amass sizeable playing time.

The former national U17 goalkeeper made his maiden league appearance during Zoo's 2-1 loss to eleven-time champions Tusker at the Afraha Stadium.
Having tested life in the top league, the 20-year old who before joining Zoo had attracted interest from Posta Rangers says he is ready to face off with his seniors at the den.
"The loan spell had helped me understand the demands of top flight. My game has improved by virtue of playing tough matches and facing the best strikers in the league. I believe I will return to Leopards once my loan deal elapses a better goalkeeper than I was before. The experience I continue to gain at Zoo will also help me get playing time at Leopards, " he said.
Mulili who is currently training by himself following the suspension of sporting activities appealed to the government to soften their stance and allow sportsmen resume their trade.

The custodian who revealed that he was his family's breadwinner lamented that life had taken a toll on him from the time the government ordered for the suspension of sports.
"I had been supporting my family financially when the league was rolling but at the moment, I am not in a position to assist. My earnings have significantly dwindled from the time the ban was announced. I believe I am not in this alone, there are many sportsmen suffering out there. It is my sincere hope that the government will hear our cry and lift the ban, " he added.
