Leopards are yet to score a goal this season.

Muhoroni Youth extended AFC Leopards' wait for their first win and goal of the season after holding them to a barren draw in an FKF Premier League game played at the Moi Kasarani Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Heading into the game, both teams needed a win, but many would agree that of the two teams, Ingwe needed it more to not only keep pace with the leading pack but also ease the pressure on coach Tom Juma.

The match started at a sluggish pace, but of the two sides, Muhoroni settled faster, causing the hosts a number of problems. Collins Neto twice came close early on. Ingwe's first sniff at goal came in the 25th minute when Victor Otieno, making his first start for the club, unleashed a shot from the edge of the area that narrowly missed the target.

Muhoroni had three first-half penalty appeals turned down by the referee for alleged handball in Ingwe's penalty area.

Neto missed a glorious opportunity to put his side in the driving seat in the 36th minute, failing to connect to a good Maxwell Odada cross from the right with the goal at his mercy. A minute later, Leopards midfielder Kevin Kimani hit the target from a set-piece.

The first half, in which Muhoroni Youth had been on the more adventurous side, ended barren.

The start of the second half was an evenly contested one with both teams trying to take charge of the game.

The Leopards came close through Brian Yakhama in the 66th minute, but he somehow missed his chance with just the keeper to beat. At the other end, Muhoroni Youth won a couple of unutilized corners.

Ingwe's late raids bore no fruit, and in the end, the spoils were shared.
