On Sunday, 28 September, the former FKF Premier League side announced the lawmaker as the club's patron, providing hope for their dwindling fortunes.
This came after the third-term legislator attended a community impact program in Muhoroni, where he was the chief guest, with the team’s tribulations and requests presented to him.
The club took to their Facebook page to disclose why Sudi was their best pick.
“A special thank you to Hon Oscar Kipchumba Sudi for accepting the request to be our esteemed club patron.
You have shown us that football really unites and it is a powerful force for National Pride, all the way from Kasparet to Muhoroni, the community is very happy and excited for the great love you've shown to them,” reads part of the post by the club
“You've given us HOPE and confidence to dream bigger and restore our lost glory in Kenyan Football,” the club added.
The club went ahead to appreciate the immediate financial boost of an undisclosed amount rendered to them by the legislator during the weekend event.
“Your support, encouragement and commitment to the team will inspire the players, technical staff, and fans alike. Together, we march forward with pride and determination to achieve greatness,” stated the club.
The former Top 8 Cup champions went ahead to extend their invitation to President William Ruto, who is Sudi's close ally, to use the club in fostering peace in the area.
“May this be a game-changer for both communities to come together. We also urge our beloved President William Samoei Ruto to use this platform to bring great partnership between different communities along the borderline together,” concludes the statement.
Muhoroni will be keen to use the support to help the team work their way up to the Kenyan top tier.
