Kenyan giants Tusker will face KCB in the first semi final, before paving way for the battle between Kenya Police and Bandari

Tusker vs KCB

Tusker will lock horns with KCB in the opening match scheduled from 1300 hrs with a place in the final at stake.

The Brewers made it to this stage after a dramatic late goal secured a 2-1 win over Ulinzi Stars in the quarter final.

They will be seeking to make a return to continental football and salvage what remains from what has been a disappointing season for the club in the league, where they are seventh on the league table.

Speaking ahead of the match, captain Charles Momanyi expressed the team's ambition and motivation in the match.

"Our target is to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup,” the defender said. “The league has already eluded us, but the Cup is here with us and so we have to win it.

The tournament will give us an opportunity to play in good pitches and big stadiums, as well as more TV coverage for us to market ourselves.”

KCB, on the other hand, eliminated reigning champions Nairobi United through a hard fought 1-0 victory, and will now be seeking to book a place in their second final in three years.

Captain Humphrey Mieno expressed confidence in his team to emerge victorious ,despite facing tough opposition.

“Preparation for the match has been good, and the mood in camp is very positive,” he said. “It is a knockout stage against a big club, but it is a do or die for us, and the lads are very ready for the big win that awaits us.”

Kenya Police vs Bandari

2024 Mozzart Bet Cup champions Kenya Police will take on 2019 champions Bandari at the same venue from 1545.

The two sides will be seeking to make a repeat of their previous success, having also tasted the fruits that come with lifting the Cup.

The law enforcers booked a place in the last four after a 1-0 win over Shabana courtesy of a sublime Abud Omar freekick, while Bandari eliminated Mflame FC with a 5-2 win.

At the dugouts will be Nicholas Muyoti for Police, who guided Nairobi United to last season’s triumph, while Bernard Mwalala, who led Bandari to victory in 2019, will be targeting a repeat of that success.
