Fabio Grosso got the "total work disability" certificate from the French authorities after being hit on the head

Injured in the face in Marseille on Sunday, Lyon boss Fabio Grosso will not be present for the OL training session. The Lyon club informed the press that their coach will not lead the training session on Tuesday afternoon. The Italian coach has what is called ITT (Incapacité Totale de Travail - total work disability) certificate for 30 days after being hit by projectiles during the attack on the bus before the game that was supposed to take place at Stade Velodrome, but ultimately did not happen.

While the images of the 2006 World Cup champion covered in blood were shocking, the coach also suffered from dizziness and multiple injuries. On Monday, a photo of Grosso was released showing him with 12 stitches on his eyelid and eyebrow.

Raffaele Longo, Grosso's assistant, who was also injured during the incidents, will also miss the training session. Lyon's players, who returned to Lyon in the night from Sunday to Monday, were given a day off on Monday. As a reminder, Lyon, at the bottom of the league table, is scheduled to face Metz this Sunday for the 11th round.

On Tuesday morning, a banner in support of Grosso was displayed at the training center by the Bad Gones. The ultras wrote, "Get well soon Fabio." Three buses carrying Lyon supporters were also targeted on Sunday night, a few hundred meters from the Velodrome. The lead bus, Lyon 1950, suffered significant damage, with windows shattered. Several people inside were injured.
