West Ham player really made his presence felt at last night's Copa America battle against Paraguay. Brazil triumphed 4-1

It was definitely a night to remember for Lucas Paqueta.

The West Ham midfielder was anything but shy last night as Brazil defeated Paraguay 4-1 in the Copa America group-stage clash.

Paqueta missed a first-half penalty, then made amends for it in the second half, also from the spot. Moreover, he added one assist to his name and was shown a yellow card, and all that for less than 80 minutes, as he was subbed off by that time.

After failing to convert that penalty, Brazilian fans were fuming later when they saw Paqueta being given a second chance. Interestingly enough, Vinicius Jr, who scored a brace even before the interval, stepped up at that moment as a true leader and supported his teammate, showing the fans they also need to stand by their player.

On the other hand, Neymar - who watched the game from the stands - joked with his friends that it was himself who should take that second penalty.

Dorival Junior's men next face their toughest opponents yet as they play Colombia in the final group game on Tuesday, July 2. The Selecao previously drew in the opening game against Costa Rica.
