Mino Raiola attacks AC Milan for Donnarumma boos

The super agent accused his client's former club for doing nothing to stop fans behaviour

A player leaves his boyhood club for free and signs for another for a less wage. When he makes a return to the stadium, he is booed by the home crowd. And his agent, who pushed the deal and took a huge provision, blames the club for fans actions. Logical, right? It is, if you are a super agent Mino Raiola and you sell your client, one of the best goalkeepers Gigio Donnarumma to PSG.

But, if you are a Milan fan, story goes like this: Donnarumma joins the club at the age of 14, gets his debut at 16, hires a greedy agent who takes huge commissions, stalls the negotiations until the very and of his contract and in the end, leaves as a free agent to join PSG for lesser wage. AC Milan offered the keeper 1 billion Ksh per year, which he refused and signed a deal with the Parisians, as a free agent, worth 900 million! How can you not be mad at him? Even thou it has been reported that he will earn 1.5 billion, respectable L'Equipe revealed that it's actually 900 million, with some add-ons which can rise up to 1.2 billion.

So, when Donnarumma appeared at San Siro as an Italian goalkeeper in the semi-final of the UEFA Nations League, he was booed every time he touched the ball, to the disgust of his agent, Mino Raiola. After openly clashing with Pep Guardiola and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his clients Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba, the Italian-Dutch agent attacked AC Milan for this incident.

I am disgusted about the boos to Donnarumma. Do you want to talk about threats? Has he killed somebody? I don’t think so. The truth is that Milan didn’t have the strength to keep him, but it doesn’t make the difference. Ask, anybody, ask a dad. What would he suggest to his son? Join PSG or stay at Milan?” the agent told Il Corriere dello Sport.

In fact, Raiola was so mad, that the phoned the Italian newspaper at the halftime of the match, to get his statement.

What happened at the stadium is sad, strange and shameful. It’s strange that Milan fans only target Donnarumma, only because he made a free choice. It’s also strange and disappointing that Milan didn’t distance themselves from this unacceptable behaviour. Italy looked bad in front of the whole world, Gigio has always given everything to the national team, contributing to winning the Euros and being named the best player in the competition. He also helped Milan, he remained loyal in the most difficult moment for the club, being professional until the very last day and helping the team to return to the Champions League” said Raiola.
