Millions Shabana FC banked from ticket sales in season finale

The Kisii-based side has now collected over Ksh20 million from the sale of tickets in their home matches throughout the season
As has been their custom throughout the season, FKF Premier League side Shabana FC yet again collected over Ksh1 million in their last league match of the campaign.

The season finale saw The Glamour Boys host Ulinzi Stars at the Gusii Stadium on Sunday, 22 June, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.

The club, in what has also been their norm this season, took to their social media handles largely as a way of accountability to reveal their gate collections.
“We collected a gross revenue of 1,421,300/=. Thank you to all those who made it to Gusii Stadium for our match against Ulinzi Stars
It was great seeing the Stadium painted red and white,” read a post on the club's Facebook page.

The club has hit over Ksh1 million gate collections from its home matches against Ulinzi Stars, Mara Sugar, Murang'a Seal, Bandari, Posta Rangers and Kariobangi Sharks.
Shabana also collected over Ksh1 million from the matches against Kakamega Homeboyz, Mathare United, Tusker, and KCB FC, with the Ksh5,019,800 collected in their clash against Gor Mahia being their highest of the season.
With the over Ksh20 million gross revenue from the gates, the Peter Okidi-coached side was undoubtedly the biggest earners from match day ticket sales throughout the season.
Kenyan giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards have been a pale shadow of themselves throughout the season, with meagre revenue from match day ticket sales save for the Mashemeji Derby.
The Mashemeji Derby first leg, hosted by Ingwe, recorded the highest collection of the season with a gross revenue of Ksh7,395,600 and a net total of 4,583,760.
The second leg of the Mashemeji Derby, played on Monday, 2 Jun,e saw K'Ogalo collect just Ksh2,152,700 with Gor banning the club stewards, branch officials and security from the gates over allegations of bribing.
With their well-managed ticket sales, Shabana successfully turned gate collections into one of the club's main sources of revenue, perhaps only coming second to shirt sponsorship.
