Rossoneri could drop to fourth place if Juventus wins today
AC Milan is in a crisis. And while the last result crisis ended with Rossoneri bowing out of the Serie A title bid, today’s 2-0 loss against Sassulo will probably cost them the second position in the league. If Juventus wins today against Verona, Milan will drop to fourth place. But how did it happen? After all, Rossoneri have not lost in their last eight Serie A away games against Sassuolo (six wins and two draws). This time however, it was a combination of an early goal, a red card and an ineffective Milan attack which lead to an easy Sassuolo win. Fikayo Tomori got sent off due to the second yellow card after only 24 minutes and by that time Milan was already down 1-0. By the 90th minute, the guest failed to even score one goal, which is already a problem. In the last five games (out of which Milan won only one), Rossoneri scored only one goal.

After just five minutes, Milan’s ‘killer’ got the first goal. Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi scored 11 goals against he guests from Milano in 19 games, and today he added another one. Maignan had a great save just two minutes later, when he prevented the second goal after Nzola’s shot. Milan’s first chance came thorough Rafael Leao in the 18th minute, but his shot somehow went over the bar instead into the goal. The moment which changed everything happened in the 24th minute when the former Chelsea player earned his second yellow car. Thorstvedt had a chance to finish the game after just two minutes when he was all alone in the penalty area, but waited too long to shoot and allowed Pavlović to prevent him.
6 goles y 9 asistencias para uno de los futbolistas con más regularidad en los últimos años del Sassuolo.

Armand Laurienté asistió a Berardi en el 1-0, forzó la expulsión de Tomori y firmó el 2-0 ante el Milan.

What Thorstvedt missed in the first, Lauriente fixed at the beginning of the second half and although it was only 47th minute, in reality it was all over. Thorstvedt missed another good opportunity to score in the 50th minute and that was last meaningful chance for both teams in the next 40 minutes. Allegri tried to change something with substitutions, but failed to create a proper chance. Milan’s crises continues.
