It happens to all of us, Leo
To err is human. And even if Lionel Messi made us think that he's actually from another planet in the past 20 years, he's actually just like anyone of us. The guy made a mistake.
The Argentine posted a video in which he apologised to his Paris Saint-Germain teammates for his sin of flying out to Saudi Arabia without the club's consent. Although many still believe Leo has gone to secure a mammoth contract in the Middle East, the veteran forward says that he only went away because he believed he was off that day.
"I thought we had a day off after the game. I had organised this trip, and I could not cancel it. I had cancelled it before. I apologise to my teammates and I am waiting for what the club wants to do with me."

Messi's reason for the trip was to fulfil his role as an ambassador for the Middle East nation. He did not seek permission from the club, and they have now decided to take action. He played 90 minutes of the Lorient loss before jetting out to the Middle East, where he is poised to spend a "few days". The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner was snapped at the airport in Riyadh, where his long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo is now based.
Messi is all but certain to depart Parc des Princes at the end of the season. The unrest among PSG diehards has put a huge question mark over most of their players - especially those believed to have underperformed - like Messi, Neymar and Marco Verratti.
