The rebuild of National Super League outfit Mully Children Family FC has hit a high after the club brought in more arsenals to strengthen their squad ahead of the league kickoff this weekend.

MCF have for long been perceived as one of the favorites in the second tier and tipped to FKF Premier League promotion over the seasons, but failed to impress upon the league start.

Last season, the team hit a low as they issued a last-day walkover to Migori Youth, and further word spread that the team was on the brink of folding with players given freedom to source new homes, only for the management to rescind the decision and commence a team rebuild.

After roping in former Murang'a Seal goalkeeper Christian Mutiso, Shabana midfield engine Maurice Dukuly, and Harrison Mwandike from Kangemi All Stars last week, the club have further raided other NSL clubs for their top talents.

Former Singida FC centre back David Nartey is the latest inclusion in the Robert Arasa Orangi-coached side after inking a one-year deal from Football Kenya Federation Division One outfit Kibra United.

Nartey had an impressive league run with Kibra, helping the club avoid the chop on the last day of the season, a performance that attracted interest from the majority of the teams plying their trade in the second tier. However, MCF were the one that presented a viable project to the 24-year-old defender.

Mwatate United speedy winger Brian Kipruto, who last season bagged 10 goals, further assisting three times, has also penned a deal with the Yatta-based club and will be thrown into the attack line alongside net buster Mohammed Anaaba, who has signed from Kibra United.

The ambitious club has also brought in ex-Harambee Stars under 23 attacking midfielder John Mugo from Darajani Gogo FC and Josephat Katua, who joins from Thika Mills Club (TMC) FC, all on a year-long deal.

Speaking on the quality of players at his disposal, Orangi, who is making a comeback at the club, expressed his satisfaction with the signings and predicted a smooth season for the promotion-chasing Mully Children Family FC.

"I am impressed with the quality in this squad, and I am confident of mounting a significant promotion hunt this time around".

MCF are expected to unveil more players this week before the start of the 2023–2024 season.
