James Mazembe is attracting interest from Egyptian clubs after his impressive performances in Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL).

James Mazembe is enjoying the form of his life at Kariobangi Sharks with his impressive performances not going unnoticed as he has attracted interest from Egyptian clubs.

The Kakamega High School alumnus is sitting atop the assists charts after notching up eight thus far this season in 15 games.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Mazembe revealed that he has received a number of offers owing to his imperious performance in the league.

“There are a number of teams that have inquired about my services but I’m not focused on that, I just want the league to return and give my best to Sharks. The teams are mostly from Egypt but I cannot dive into details because I have to respect my contract with Sharks, my current deal expires in December,” explained Mazembe.

The 22-year-old adds that most of the offers came before he was named in the Harambee Stars squad after featuring in the friendlies against South Sudan and Tanzania.

With the league being forced to halt after all sporting activities were suspended following a spike in Covid-19 cases, Mazembe is struggling with individual training and opened up on the experience he benefited from in the National Team.

“I’m now forced to do individual training at home, I usually wake up for my morning runs, I find the routine boring but there is nothing much I can do,”

“The National Team was a really good experience it showed me that everything is possible, I now have to work hard and hopefully break into the first team,” added Mazembe.

The winger joined Sharks from Kakamega High School after he was named The 2017 Secondary School Games Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Should one of his deals materialize he will join John Avire who turns out for Coca Cola FC and Cliff Nyakeya who is in the books of Masr FC in Egypt.
