James Mazembe who currently tops the assists charts with seven has opened up on his devastating partnership with Eric Kapaito.
Kariobangi Sharks winger James Mazembe has lifted the lid on the success of his lethal partnership with top scorer Eric Kapaito.
The duo possesses arguably the most potent partnership in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) that has yielded 15 goals thus far this season.

Of the 14 goals that Kapatio has plundered this season, five have been assisted by Mazembe as the combination produced another goal in the 3-0 drubbing of KCB over the weekend.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Mazembe revealed the secret to his telepathic understanding with Kapaito on the field.
“We are usually paired with him a lot in training and after training, we usually stay behind to have extended sessions with him which has built up good chemistry because I know what runs he will make in the game."
“We also have a good relationship, we joined the club almost the same time and he understands my style of play. He is a very close friend - before the game, we have a chat and he always asks how many assists I will give him," said Mazembe.

Mazembe joined Kariobangi Sharks in 2017 after starring in the Secondary School Games for Kakamega High School that year and won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
His path in the league has been a bumpy ride as he had to wait three years to score his first league goal for Sharks in the 3-3 draw against Posta Rangers back in December 2019.
Mazembe credited his coach William Muluya for having patience with him after struggling to settle in the Premier League.
“I would credit coach Muluya because he has been really patient with me because since I arrived at the club I have not had an exceptional season, we have had extra training sessions with him and he has really pushed me.”
“I think this season has been different because I have gained experience in the league, this is my fourth season and also being part of a good team has really helped me,” added Mazembe.
Mazembe currently has seven assists in the league and one goal to his name.
