Angola’s Manuel Candido will serve as the match’s referee assessor, with Congo’s Kossa Jean Médard doing the match commissioner duties
The match officials for Kenya’s game against Gabon in the first of 10 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers have been made.
All referees appointed and confirmed on Wednesday will be Egyptian nationals, led by Mansour Mohammed, who will serve as the game’s center referee.

Assisting him will be Gamal Saad (first assistant referee) and Abdelfattah Elsnadidy (second assistant referee).
Acting as the fourth official will be Adel Hussein.
Thursday evening’s fixture will provide Kenya its first opportunity at playing in a competitive fixture since 15 November 2021, when Michael Olunga and Richard Odada scored in a 2-1 win over Rwanda at the Nyayo National Stadium, with the team then taking part in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Exactly two years and a day later, a chance to in a span of five days, establish control of Group F, all in a bid to grace the prestigious summer tournament set for United States and Mexico in little less than three years time.
Harambee Stars’ second qualification fixture will be on Monday 20 November against Seychelles at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
After Thursday’s game - to be played at the Stade de la Rénovation de Franceville - the team will depart to the Ivorian capital on Friday.
In addition to the Egyptian officials, Angola’s Manuel Candido will serve as the match’s referee assessor, with Congo’s Kossa Jean Médard doing the match commissioner duties.
The game begins at 1900 EAT.
