Former Sony Sugar, Kariobangi Sharks and Bandari forward lands in another North African outfit

The 25-year-old Kenyan international has finally completed his move to top tier Moroccan side Difaa Hassani Jadidi and was officially unveiled by the club yesterday through a post on Facebook with the player in the club’s strips.

“New arrival on the new Hassani defense team: Masoud Juma

DHJ’s new player: Masoud Juma. Welcome to you,” the translated quote read on the club’s Facebook page.

Although, the club did not reveal the length of the contract Juma had signed, Ghanaian journalist Nuhu Adams reported that the player was expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Moroccan side.

Juma is expected to bolster Difaa’s fortunes in front of goal as the Moroccan side have only collected two points after five games played and are currently languishing in 15th position, a relegation position to the Botola 2, Morocco’s second division.

Juma has found it a bit tough to find a place to call home after scooping the golden boot award in 2017 when playing for Kariobangi Sharks in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League. He played for Algerian side JS Kabylie during the 2019/2020 season before this latest move to his new club.

He has also featured for Arabian side Dibbah Al- Fujairah and Libyan champions Al- Nasr Benghazi in 2019 before moving to JS Kabylie. Juma has also turned up for South African side Cape Town City in 2018.

The Harambee Stars striker will be looking to hit the ground running at his new club in the search of a national team call up to the Harambee Stars squad who are currently preparing for African Cup of Nations(AFCON) qualifiers against Egypt and Togo in March this year. Masoud Juma scored in the 1-1 draw against Comoros in Nairobi when he led the line for Harambee Stars in the qualifiers.
