Massive wins for Thika, Ulinzi in WPL

Four matches ate set to be played on Sunday 26 February.

Wendy Achieng's stay at the helm of the Women Premier League (WPL) top scorer chat continues as she added a hat trick to her tally as Thika Queens beat Kayole Starlets 5-0.

The win puts Thika at the helm of the league on 21 points, albeit overnight as holders Vihiga Queens and Gaspo Women have a chance to go ahead when they play on Sunday. 

Grace Wekesa opened the scoring for Thika in the third minute as Achieng added her first in the 19th and again converted in the 28th minutes to hand the former champions a 3-0 lead going into the break. 

Twenty minutes into the second half, Sarah Chalovu added Thika's forth with Achieng adding her third and the team's fifth in the 81st minute.

Meanwhile, Mercy Airo and Lucy Nato bagged a brace each as Ulinzi Starlets won their match 7-0 against struggling Kangemi Ladies. 

Christine WekesaSheryl Angachi and Cindy Ngairah scored a goal each for the Joseph Wambua-coached military side for victory.
