Munene and Odhiambo were two of the three nominees for the award in February

AFC Leopards defensive duo of Washington Munene and Kayci Odhiambo have been nominated for the club's March player of the month for the second month running.

Munene and Odhiambo have been nominated alongside youthful striker Maxwell Otieno for the month of March, and the three will jostle for the award as voted for by the club's fans.

Ingwe played three matches in March, against Bandari, Sofapaka, and Kenya Police, and managed to avoid defeat in all of them, recording scoring draws in all to ensure Leopards continued their unbeaten streak.

Munene, a former Wazito FC defender, beat Odhiambo and Robert Mudenyu to the award in February and will be hoping to secure it for the second time running this time round.

In a season that AFC Leopards were poised for a tough outing, Otieno and Odhiambo have been great revelations on either end of the field, Odhiambo putting up a solid display at the heart of the backline while Maxwell Otieno has been hunting for goals in the absence of experienced strikers.

In March, Otieno got Ingwe back into the game with his 28th-minute leveler against Bandari at Nyayo Stadium in a match that ended 2-2 eventually.

Current club captain Eugene Mukangula is the only one at the club to have won the award twice this season, doing consecutively in December and January.
