Despite reaching the UEFA Champions League final, BVB still have to sell players to obtain the funds for reinforcements, and among those for sale is Youssoufa Moukoko. The 19-year-old was one of the main targets over the past two transfer windows, with Man United, Newcastle, Barcelona, Chelsea, and Liverpool as the candidates to bring him, but now it seems the time to say farewell has come.

At the moment, five clubs from top five European leagues wait in line for Moukoko and he has allegedly chosen Olympique Marseille. Fabrizio Romano claims the player has made his final decision, and it's now up to the clubs to strike a deal regarding a loan with a buyout clause worth 25 million euros.
Moukoko joined Borussia Dortmund's youth categories in 2016 and became a regular senior squad member four years later. During his time at the club, Moukoko made 99 appearances and scored 18 goals, winning one trophy - the DFB-Pokal (the German Cup) in 2021. Since he spent his entire professional career in Dortmund, it would be interesting to see how he would adapt not only to the new club but to an entirely new league, much different from the Bundesliga.
Moukoko's departure won't fall hard on Borussia, given that the German had a salary of 6 million euros per season. Apart from the forward, Karim Adeyemi is reportedly another player on the verge of leaving Signal Iduna Park. The winger is on Thiago Motta's wishlist, but the price BVB have put on the 22-year-old is currently too high for Juventus.
