Mara Sugar FC have honoured their standout performers from the recently concluded 2025/26 FKF Premier League season during the club's annual awards ceremony held in Kilgoris.

The awards, now in their second consecutive year since the club earned promotion to the top flight, recognised players who played pivotal roles in the Sugar Millers' impressive campaign.
Leading the list of winners was dynamic left-back Jimmy Owili, who was crowned the club's Most Valuable Player (MVP) following a stellar debut season in Mara Sugar colours.
Owili, who joined the club from Silibwet Leons at the beginning of the season, established himself as one of the FKF Premier League's most influential full-backs.
The marauding defender registered an impressive 12 goal contributions in 34 league appearances, scoring three goals and providing nine assists.
His attacking output was the highest among defenders in the league, highlighting his immense impact at both ends of the pitch.
Owili's outstanding performances have also seen him emerge as a strong contender for the FKF Premier League Player of the Season award.
In the Golden Boot category, forwards Dennis Cheruiyot and Alex Imbusia shared the accolade after finishing as the club's joint top scorers with five goals apiece.
The attacking duo accounted for a third of Mara Sugar's 30 league goals, underlining their importance to the team's offensive play throughout the campaign.
Mid-season recruit Joseph Ogenda walked away with the Best Goalkeeper award after an impressive second half of the campaign.
The shot-stopper kept seven clean sheets in just 17 league appearances, bringing stability and assurance between the posts.
In defence, towering youngster Robinson Msungu was named the club's Best Defender.
The highly-rated centre-back was a consistent and dependable presence at the heart of Mara Sugar's backline, helping the team register 13 clean sheets during the season.
Meanwhile, Kevin Mwavali earned the Best Midfielder award following a campaign in which he provided creativity, composure and industry in the middle of the park.
Timothy Ndayala was recognised as the Most Improved Player, while promising youngster Ainea Ndete scooped the Young Player of the Season award.
The individual accolades capped another successful season for Mara Sugar as they continued their upward trajectory in the top flight.
The Sugar Millers finished 11th on the FKF Premier League table with 44 points, improving by three places and eight points from the previous campaign, when they ended their debut top-flight season in 14th position with 36 points.
