Mane and Salah put their AFCON differances behind them to jump-start Reds comeback

Norwich threatened to shock Anfield, but the Senegalese and the Egyptian gave Liverpool the win

Norwich proved today that there is still strength in them to fight against relegation, but Liverpool were simply too big of a catch for them. Even much better teams would find it hard to compete against a side that boasts two of the world's best forwards - Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

African duo scored in quick succession to overturn Milot Rashica's opener and new boy Luis Diaz scored his first goal for the club to complete the win.

A big pat on the back should be given to the visitors from Norwich for today's performance against the superior opposition and against the odds. The Canaries gave it a good go because they know that every point is worth more than gold at this stage of the season. However, improving their tally at Anfield was always going to be difficult.

Joel Matip's poor positioning helped Milot Rashica's shot past Alisson Becker, but it was all downhill from that point.

Greek left-back Kostas Tskimikas is proving an able deputy for Andy Robertson and he made a telling impact today by delivering a pass for Mane to steer into the net with a classy overhead kick and pull the Reds back level.

Just a few minutes, the AFCON runner-up Salah rolled another in after controlling a long pass from his own goalkeeper. Sadio might be the champion of Africa, but for Liverpool fans - he's just as precious as the gold medalist from Senegal.

Luis Diaz scored with a lovely shot to get off the mark for his new club. There is no doubt that he'll be a valuable asset for Jurgen Klopp's team.

As for Norwich, their defeat might be even more painful considering the results elsewhere. Their relegation rivals Burnley and Watford both won, while Newcastle got a point away at West Ham. It makes life for the Canaries hard, but if they show the spirit like they have today, there is still hope.
