In his free time, the Belgian custodian prefers watching basketball rather than EPL football
Manchester United’s goalkeeper Senne Lammens stands out from the rest.
At 23, the Belgian goalkeeper has kept his feet on the ground, even as praise pours in after his standout performance in the win over Everton.

Former United keeper Edwin van der Sar praised Lammens’ skills on Sky Sports, and Everton’s manager David Moyes called his performance "bloody brilliant." Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois, also from Belgium, has spoken highly of him too.
"I mean, it's great, but I still have to prove myself every week. I'm not satisfied with it. I am happy it went well, but it's not the end. A couple of weeks ago, I couldn't imagine it going any better, but I don't want to look to the past too much," said Lammens.
"The first thing you have to do as a goalkeeper is make saves. But I take a lot of pride in doing the other things well.
"Maybe it's not always the box-office stuff, but if you know a little bit about goalkeeping, that's as important for your teammates to trust you and help out the team."

Lammens, who used to play for Royal Antwerp, shared that he didn’t look up to Premier League goalkeepers when he was younger. Instead, his role model came from the Bundesliga and Bayern Munich.
"My biggest idol was probably Manuel Neuer," he said.
"I take pride in being an all-round goalkeeper. That's why I was such a big fan of his. He didn't really have something that was clearly not the best thing in his game."
Off the pitch, Lammens tries to relax and rest as much as possible. On his days off, he actually prefers watching basketball over Premier League matches on TV.
He brings a unique personality and a breath of fresh air to Old Trafford, much like interim manager Michael Carrick.
