Miguel Gutierrez, 22, has impressed with Girona, and both the Red Devils and the Royals want them in their teams next season

There are at least a dozen issues surrounding Manchester United at the moment, but the fact is the club needs to keep rolling. And the part of that process is definitely recruiting new players for the next season.

One of the Red Devils' top targets for the upcoming transfer window is - the sources claim - Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez.

The 22-year-old Gutierrez has impressed as charming Girona keeps pushing for the UEFA Champions League qualification.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have also shown interest in the reliable left-back, especially since he's actually their academy graduate. Gutierrez went through Los Blancos youth ranks before moving to the small Catalonian side back in August 2022.

Now, the Royals are considering an offer to activate their buy-back clause on the youngster.

As per the latest update from Teamtalk.com, United have already sent scouts to Spain to watch Gutierrez in action for Girona in 2024, as part of their long-term plan to potentially bring him to Old Trafford.
