Man United at war with Serie A sides over Nigerian-descent wonder

Lecce's defender enchanted the Milan giants, Napoli, and Juventus, apart from the Red Devils
Although the Italian Serie A is far from the heights it reached at the beginning of the century, even some "smaller" clubs can still offer world-class talents. The proof of that is the situation around Lecce's left-back, Patrick Dorgu. The Dane of Nigerian descent joined I Salentini in 2022 for only €200,000, and now numerous European giants are at war for his signature, willing to splash €40 million!
According to Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Lecce's director of football, Pantaleo Corvino, is currently in Milan to talk to the two giants from the "fashion capital of the world," Napoli and Juventus. However, he is also in talks with the Man United representatives, as the Red Devils are also keen on bringing the 20-year-old player.
🚨⤵️ Rúben Amorim has also approved the signing of Dorgu as #MUFC now pushing for the signing.

Lecce are allegedly unwilling to let the defender go before June, demanding €35-40 million. United's initial target was Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez. Nevertheless, when the Cherries "vetoed" his move to Old Trafford, the Manchester giants turned to Dorgu as an alternative solution.
Still, the "war" for his signature has just begun, and time will tell which side will end up winning in the end. The only certain thing is that the Danish international will hardly await the next season at Stadio Via del Mare.
