Man City are praying they're not awarded a penalty against Juventus

It sounds hilarious and unbelievable, but the Cityzens were struggling to score in front of an empty net during the last training

Around 99% of football teams are afraid of conceding a penalty. When it comes to Manchester City, however, they are surprisingly not very delighted with the possibility of being awarded one.

At least, that's the take from their latest open-for-public training session ahead of tonight's Champions League clash against Juventus. The footage shows that Ilkay Gundogan, Jack Grealish, and Phil Foden missed the goal from the spot despite aiming at an empty net with no goalkeeper around.

Interestingly, the BBC - which reported from the practice in its live blog - subsequently added that it was told the players were allegedly aiming for the woodwork.

Truth or not, it will be interesting to see what will happen if Juventus concede a penalty later tonight at Allianz Stadium.

It should be a tremendously exciting game as both sides are desperate to win and avoid what could be an inevitable elimination with two games to spare. Eight points after five opening rounds is a disappointing result for Thiago Motta and Pep Guardiola, so they're hoping to make amends against a strong rival.
