The coastal club remains hopeful of clinching both the league and Mozzart Bet titles

Former AFC Leopards and Kariobangi Sharks marksman John Makwata was among the four new faces unveiled at Bandari on Monday afternoon.

Apart from Makwata, Bandari presented former Gor Mahia and Zanaco defender Dennis Ng'ang'a, Clifford Ouma from City Stars, and youthful forward Ali Halafu from Congo Boys.

Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tony Kibwana exuded confidence the new additions will go a long way in their bid to clinch titles this season.

Bandari last won a major title in 2019 when they beat Kariobangi Sharks 3-1 in the Mozzart Bet Cup final, formerly known as the Shield Cup.

"We are delighted to have the new four players in the club. We largely opted for experience and we believe the new additions will inspire the team to win one of the titles if not both at the end of the year," Kibwana said.

Besides recapturing the cup, the Dockers will be keen to land their first league crown.

Regarded as one of the best-funded teams in the top tier, Bandari are yet to lay hands on the league title but Makwata, and hie fellow new boys at the club, feel that the team has a chance to do it this season.

"We are happy to join Bandari, it is one of the top clubs in the country with a rich history. We are glad with the reception accorded to us and we are here to help the club win the league title," said Makwata.

"The team is well blended but largely youthful players. We are optimistic our experience will improve the team in all aspects in bettering the club's performance," said Ouma

Bandari will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they play KCB in a mid-week encounter on Wednesday 19, February.

The team suffered a surprise 3-2 defeat to the visiting FC Talanta over the weekend.
