Uganda’s efforts to ensure a successful CHAN, both in terms of organisation and performance, demonstrate their commitment to making this edition memorable.
Carrying a 1-0 advantage from the first leg, Uganda Cranes added to their advantage at the end of regulation, courtesy of Hakim Kiwanuka, who turned in a heavily deflected free-kick.
Mali 0-0 Mauritania
Mauritania, on the other hand, squeaked through to the finals with a 1-0 aggregate victory over Mali.
The two sides had played out a barren draw in the first leg.
