
Luanda Villa suspends defender and issues warnings to trio

The quartet have been reprimanded over various indiscipline cases
Luanda Villa Executive Committee has suspended defender Gerishom Arabe Osumba and sent warnings to the trio of Samuel Maya, centre back Gregory Shikanga and attacker Timonthy Ndayala.
The development come in the wake of poor performance from the newly promoted club.
Under the tutelage of veteran Tom Tera, Villa have failed to win in their last four games with all the encounters ending in stalemates.
Confirming suspension of Arabe, club chairman Moses Absence noted that it was proven beyond doubt that, the club's third best stopper last season was an orchestrator of go slows within the dressing room and was banished from the team on gross misconduct, incitement and insubordination. Actions that the executive Committee believes creates bad affection and influence to other members of the dressing room.
"Following our joint meeting between executive committee and the technical bench on the 23rd of October, 2023, it was resolved that you be suspended for one (1) month due to gross misconduct, incitement and insubordination, action which can be bad influence to other members of the playing unit and which comprises your conduct as a player, " read part of the club statement.
Sources confided that the player in question was on forefront advocating for players allowances that has now gone close to two months without disbursement.
Arabe, who was an integral part of Villa last season as they secured promotion to the second tier, will now have to watch the action from home for a period of one month as he is also restricted from accessing the club's training facilities.
The executive further stamped authority by warning the duo of their top scorer this season Timothy Ndayala and center back Gregory Shikanga over involvement in unfeted league contrary to their contractual terms.New singing Samuel Maya also faced the wrath of the committee.
The club chairman Moses Absence has also sent a stern warning to all the other players and urged them to remain discplined. He further assured they are working around the clock to change their fortunes of the club.
"Villa is a club build on standards and we expect everyone here to adhere to them. We will not tolerate indiscipline cases. To our fans, our coaches are working tirelessly to ensure we start winning matches as soon as possible," offered the club boss.
