The French superstar will thus miss at least four of Los Blancos' matches
While everyone at Santiago Bernabeu - and in the whole world - is getting ready for New Year's Eve, Real Madrid received terrible news - Kylian Mbappe is set to miss three weeks.
The Frenchman has been experiencing issues with his knee ligament for a couple of weeks, and an MRI scan this morning finally revealed a lesion that requires treatment, recovery, and rest, L'Equipe reported earlier today.

According to predictions, Mbappe could miss at least four Los Blancos' matches - two in La Liga (against Real Betis and Levante), the Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Atletico Madrid (as well as the eventual final against either Athletic Bilbao or Barcelona), and the Champions League duel against Monaco.
The forward's injury doesn't come as a surprise, given that he missed only one game (?!) since the beginning of the season (Madrid's UCL clash against Manchester City) for the club and the French national team and played 32 matches in total, clocking 90 minutes in most of them.
At the same time, Mbappe's absence will be a massive blow for Los Blancos, as they'll have to try to reduce the four-point gap behind Barcelona in La Liga and fight for the first trophy of the season without the man who scored 29 goals in 24 matches for them in all competitions.
